Frequently asked questions
Every realm unlocks free just by playing battles — or instantly with a one-time pack purchase (prices shown in the app):
The Everything Bundle and Premium unlock all realms (plus arenas, Melee Mode, and no ads) right away.
Open the app → Settings (gear icon on the home screen) → Shop & Unlocks → scroll to the bottom → tap Restore purchases. Your purchase comes back immediately on any device signed into the same Apple ID.
If a kid’s purchase used Ask to Buy, it completes automatically once the family organizer approves it.
Go to Settings → Shop & Unlocks → Remove Ads — a one-time purchase that removes ads forever (a grown-up completes the quick parental gate first). Premium and the Everything Bundle also remove all ads. (Ads in AvA are always non-personalized and kid-safe, rated G.)
Coins are AvA’s play money — earn them by battling (with a bonus for your first battle each day), playing the Daily Challenge, hitting streak milestones, and watching optional reward videos. (The daily gift 🎁 gives a mystery sticker for your sticker book.) Spend coins on custom creatures (150 coins — or free by watching a short ad) and on tournament wagers.
Type anything into the search bar — “quokka”, “T-Rex”, even “Godzilla” — and AvA creates a fighter for it, judged by AI using real-world knowledge, with a picture found for it (a real photo when one exists, otherwise a kid-safe illustration). Custom names go through a kid-safe content filter first.
Battles are decided by real biology — size, weapons, speed, armor, and (for legends) mythology — deterministically, so the same matchup gives the same winner. Picking an arena changes the odds: an orca is unbeatable in the Ocean and helpless in the Desert. A Quick Fight with no arena is judged on pure ability. Think a result is truly off? Email us — we genuinely tune these.
Check your internet connection. No signal? No problem — a built-in local battle engine keeps the fights going until you’re back online.
Voice search needs two permissions: iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone and → Speech Recognition — make sure AvA is allowed in both. All voice processing happens on your device; audio never leaves the phone.
Settings → Grown-Up Zone (behind a parental gate) shows what your child is learning, purchase controls, and Erase all data — which wipes all progress, coins, stickers, and synced iCloud data after a quick confirmation. See our Privacy Policy for the full kid-safety picture.
